How to read strap size
20/16mm means 20mm on the lug side and 16mm on the buckle side. The lug side is the end attached to the watch case, and the buckle side is the end attached to the buckle.

The "Genuine NATO Strap for Nylon" by Barkoutsiders is not the flat weave found on most NATO straps. It is woven with a faint lengthwise ripple, which gives the strap a firm, crisp hand and a surface with real depth. The design follows Ref. No. 6B/2617, the nylon strap first adopted by the British military in 1954 and first issued with the Mark 11.
For this special-order version we asked for three changes: rings narrowed to 1.8mm, the same width as the vintage originals; a length of 280mm excluding the buckle, exactly as laid down in the British military specification; and adjustment holes spaced 9mm apart. The slimmer rings make the strap a far better companion for a vintage watch. The label on the underside is marked "6B/2617-99" — the model reference together with the United Kingdom's NATO country code. The maker's standard model carries "GenuineNatoStrap" laser-engraved on the buckle; out of respect for the vintage detail, this one does not.
At 1.2mm thick, it is almost identical to the original NATO strap. The colors were mixed from vintage NATO straps as the reference: "Admiralty Grey", and "Coyote", a shade that sits between khaki and olive. Both have a beautifully judged vintage character. By popular request, "Black" has now joined the line-up as well. A perfect match for military watches, and for any vintage watch up to the 1960s.
