La Perla Azzura ALASKA NATO Type Strap Made to order (Black)

This NATO strap is made to order and will take approximately 3 weeks to ship.

The leather used is ALASKA, produced by La Perla Azzura, a tannery certified by the Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Association.

Since its founding in 1967 in Santa Croce, Tuscany, Italy, La Perla Azzura is a long-established tannery that has continued to produce the finest Italian leather, tanning it with high-quality, thick rawhide from France and vegetable tannins extracted from the trunks of the Queplacho tree, which is carefully selected from Argentina.
Alaska is a dyed double shoulder leather that has been sprayed with wax and then shrunk in a drum while the wax penetrates the leather.

By creating a NATO style with sturdy metal fittings for pulling through, it gives a rougher impression.
Since this is made to order, the length can be freely set.

◆ Bridle leather (waxed) is soaked in a waxy substance and oil called white bloom that stands out on the surface. Its biggest feature is that it looks different from other leathers at a glance. The appearance of the surface changes depending on how the bloom falls off. When the bloom is completely wiped off, the luster of the wax that has already soaked into the leather appears on the surface, giving it a glossy look.
For regular maintenance, simply wipe with a soft dry cloth. Brushing or wiping vigorously will cause the wax to rub off and become darker, giving the piece an aged look at an early stage.

The stitching is done with antique-style sinew thread. Available in honey, black,You can choose from brown.
Sinew thread was originally made from the tendons of deer and other animals, but is now made by bundling thin fibers such as nylon into a single thread. As you use it, the color will fade and it will become whitish. Sinew thread is characterized by its natural color.
