■About ILCEA
ILCEA is a leather tannery located in northern Italy. Since its founding in the 1930s, the company has met the diverse needs of customers, and today, many prestigious luxury maisons, including European and American shoe manufacturers, use its leather. With a reputation for traditional craftsmanship combined with years of expertise and cutting-edge technology, ILCEA is known for its meticulous quality control, continuously providing some of the finest leather in the world.
■ About RADICA
Originally developed by ILCEA to create a marble-like pattern for luxury maisons, RADICA was born. Over time, this leather, dyed with a distinctive mottled effect, became known as "Museum Calf." True to its name, the leather is crafted using an artistic technique, where skilled artisans repeatedly hand-dye the leather to create unique variations. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, as no two patterns are identical.
To preserve its natural texture and maximize the material’s appeal, a pure aniline finish is applied. When polished, the surface reveals a glass-like sheen, highlighting the delicate texture of the leather. The distinctive marbled pattern, meticulously created through labor-intensive dyeing by artisans, and the increasing luster with use, are hallmarks of RADICA leather.
※ Please note that due to individual variations, some pieces may not display the marbled pattern.
